Three bicyclists were injured when they were struck by a FedEx truck in Aiken County, News 12 reported on July 15.
Information coming from the South Carolina Highway Patrol revealed that the truck accident occurred at about 7:30 p.m. near Pine Log Road. According to highway officer Judd Jones, the three individuals were riding their bikes on Atomic Road when they were struck by the truck. The victims, whose names were not released, reportedly suffered non-life threatening injuries and were all transported to the hospital. Authorities revealed that the truck driver was driving with excessive speed when the collision took place. A charge was filed against the truck driver after it was determined he had been driving recklessly.
