Drew Richardson
Drew Richardson is a hard working and committed lawyer who will stop at nothing to help you. These qualities are born from growing up in two award winning All-American Cities: Aiken, South Carolina and Hartsville, South Carolina. The values gained from these small town southern communities, have stayed with him to equip his ability to look out for his fellow neighbor.
Although being raised a Clemson fan, Drew saw the garnet light and attended the University of South Carolina. At USC, he was an active member of Student Government and continuously raised money for the Children’s Hospital through serving as board member for Dance Marathon.
After USC, Drew attended the Charleston School of Law where he had the distinction of being elected as the first Chief Justice of the Moot Court Board.
After graduating from law school, Drew initially worked for the Department of Revenue in the inaugural Honors in Litigation program which focused on trial advocacy. During his tenure at the Department of Revenue, he focused his practice on complex tax litigation and alcohol beverage licensing. Drew has had the privilege of continuing his alcohol beverage licensing practice for the past 17 years. After leaving DOR, Drew worked for a large insurance defense law firm for 13 years where he was named a Partner with the firm. During his time at the firm, he focused his practice on personal injury litigation in state court, federal court and before the administrative law court.
Drew is a member of the South Carolina Bar, the Richland County Bar Association, South Carolina Association of Justice, US District Court, District of South Carolina.
Before being a lawyer, Drew is a proud husband and father. His wife is Joni Richardson who is from Edgefield, South Carolina and is a small business owner. They have three wonderful boys: Andrew (13); Johnny Rollins (11); Mont (8). Drew is an active member in his church where he is a former Deacon. In his spare time, you can find Drew spending time with his wife and coaching his boys on any sports field – especially baseball. When not coaching, he loves to hunt and fish with his boys. Drew and Joni love traveling with their boys and finding new adventures around every corner.
