Global healthcare firm GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) recently issued a recall for all product lines of its alli weight reduction pills due to the possible inclusion of foreign pills in some of its bottles, ABC 6 reported on March 27.
GSK and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are working together to determine the cause of the possible contamination in some of the packages of the weight loss products. Consumers from at least seven states reportedly bought alli mixed with different tablets or capsules. Some of the packages were also found to be defective.
Consumers are advised to visit www.myalli.com or call their hotline at 800-671-2554 to find out if the alli weight loss product they bought is genuine.
