    Take US-17 S toward Charleston, merge onto I-526 W, and then transition to I-26 W toward Columbia.
  • North Charleston
    If you are near the Charleston International Airport (CHS), take I-526 W to I-26 W or use Rivers Avenue (US-52) to reach the interstate.

    Take Folly Road (SC-171) to the James Island Connector (SC-30), merge onto US-17 N, and follow signs to I-26 W.

    Use Maybank Highway (SC-700) or Bohicket Road to reach Savannah Highway (US-17 N). Then, merge onto I-526 E and take I-26 W toward Columbia.

    Take the Isle of Palms Connector (SC-517) to merge onto US-17 S toward Charleston. Continue on US-17 S, then merge onto I-526 W toward North Charleston. Take the exit for I-26 W toward Columbia.
  • Hanahan
    Take Rivers Avenue (US-52) or North Rhett Avenue to merge onto I-526 W. Take the exit for I-26 W toward Columbia.

Driving to Columbia via I-26 W

  • Follow I-26 W for about 110 miles – this is the main stretch of your trip.
  • Take Exit 108B for I-126 E toward Downtown Columbia.
  • Merge onto Elmwood Avenue and continue for about 1.5 miles.
  • Turn right onto Bull Street and drive for 0.5 miles.
