An iPhone user is claiming that he sustained a serious burn injury to his leg after the Apple product suddenly burst inside his pocket and burned his pants, CNN reported on March 5.
Lindenhurst resident Erik Johnson alleged that his iPhone 5c ruptured inside his pants pocket on February 14 as he bent over to pick up keys that had fallen on the floor. Johnson reportedly was admitted to a hospital for several days for treatment of a burn around the size of a football. The burn center in Staten Island confirmed that Johnson was treated there with burn injuries. Johnson, who works as an operating engineer, is currently staying with his family, and a nurse comes by to change his bandage. Apple, on the other hand, said that they are investigating the incident.
