On Wednesday June 6, 2014, a tractor-tailor hauling turkeys collided with a man driving a moped, causing the moped driver to be thrown from the moped and killed instantly. The collision happened at the intersection of Belfast Rd. at Silverstreet in Newberry, South Carolina. The accident closed Bellfast Road for several hours while the scene was under investigation.
