An estimated 8,200 several types of E-Z-GO vehicles in the U.S. that may catch fire are being recalled to due to a leaky fuel tank, a June 30 article on the Consumer Product Safety Commission website stated.
The recall affects golf shuttles and utility vehicle models that were made in the U.S. and sold nationwide from January until May. The federal Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) provided the model names and date codes printed in the affected vehicles for consumers to determine whether their gas-powered E-Z-GO vehicles are included in the recall. Though the recalling company and federal authorities have not receive reports of injuries and accidents involving the recalled compact vehicles, consumers are advised to notify their respective E-Z-GO dealers for a free repair.
