Earlier this week, a tractor-trailer truck traveling on I-77 hit a smaller SUV. The accident happened in Chester County during the early hours of the morning, around 3:45 a.m. The very large truck sent the SUV flying into the median where it flipped over. Witnesses said the tractor-trailer swerved and the fled the scene. This week the South Carolina Highway Patrol conducted a statewide search and now believe they have identified the driver. There were two passengers in the SUV that flipped, one died on the scene and the other was taken to the hospital.
